Cactus are a type of desert plant that hasthick, leafless stems covered in prickly spines or sharp spikes. Cactus plants are able to thrive in dry climates because they store water in their stems. Some large cactus varieties can store an impressive amount of water.
Bright indirect light. Can tolerate low light.
Make sure the soil is dry between waterings. This will stop the roots and lower edges of the plant from becoming waterlogged or rotting. During winter months you can cut back on the water, as cacti become dormant during this time with less sun and cooler night temperatures.
